I used to host a list of LDS Church-adjacent or approved resources related to sexuality and gender here, but I took all that down since I no longer appreciate that organization’s opinions or behavior on the topic. From now on I’ll only list groups and websites that I can support with my whole heart.

Hotlines

  • The Trevor Project: A 24/7 crisis hotline for LGBTQ youth. Also provides a safe social networking site and online or text message chat. The crisis lifeline is (866) 488-7386.
  • Trans Lifeline: Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community.

Online Communities

  • r/lgbt - “A safe space for GSRM (Gender, Sexual, and Romantic Minority) folk to discuss their lives, issues, interests, and passions. LGBT is still a popular term used to discuss gender and sexual minorities, but all GSRM are welcome beyond lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people who consent to participate in a safe space.”

For LGBTQ+ Mormons

  • The Out Foundation - “Our mission is to empower the LGBTQ+ students and alumni of Brigham Young University in achieving their intellectual, social, and professional potential.” They offer a scholarship fund, therapy support, financial support to transfer out of BYU, and more.
